Wandering about the time to build figure

Hey guys,
I've tried searching the forums and had a quick browse at the wiki hosted here, but i've been unable to find an answer.
What im gonna ask is,
do any of you know what the build time is in real-life?
Im using the lastest XTA, and ive noticed when i build something or click on the icon to build it, theres the statistics and information for it in the bottom left including build time, although this figure is often in the thousands,
etc. 14k-odd for the bulldog heavy tank.

I was wandering if any of you know a conversion rate or basis on what these numbers equal in real life,
e.g. 10k equalling 1minute.
I would time it ingame, but i always forget =[

Cheers for the help in advance!

Each unit that can build has a worker time which is how much of that buildtime they can do every second, assuming full resources. I think in XTA, the commander has 300. So if a bulldog has a buildtime of 14000, you would do 14000/300 = 46.6 seconds if it was building it on its own.

Sorry if this is a kind of poor explanation, it's a little difficult to explain well.

different builders build at different speeds.

If you run out of resources your buildspeeds fall

multiple builders build things faster, so 5 conbots on a factory make factory build faster.

ahhh, yup i get it,
but i cant be bothered with working it out when im building something!
cheers for the quick reply though!
oh, and just out of interest, which AI is better for XTA?
It ran fine yesterday, and now it keeps crashing on a map,
so i updated and it still crashed, tried different AIs i had installed nd it still crashed, and now using KAI 0.2 it seems ok, and i like how the computer's attacks are not always the same.
back to the question though, which AI do you recommend?

There is a 'Build ETA' widget, which will give you an ETA on anything you're constructing. Either way, you can just watch the little animation. Nano frame finished= 1/3rd done, nano frame filled in = 2/3rd done, nanoframe textured = finished. Its not hard to figure it out.

buildtime/workertime = how long in seconds it takes to build that building

fixed

32 because slowupdate is every 32 frames, and 30 because there're 30 frames in a second. Also the build time of a unit cannot be lower than 32 frames.

Build time of a unit can be as low as one frame (1/32nd of the workertime), they just aren't spawned faster than once per slowupdate (whcih is every 15 or 16 frames I think, not 32).

nonsense, my spring runs at 400fps, not 30fps...

*sigh*

Spring's gameplay runs at 30 frames per second, no matter what it's rendered at.

Make sure luaui is enabled in settings.exe, and then press f11 ingame.
