Its weird how there was no news about this. one of the most significant person in history dies and nobody cares... what a pity.

i guess they didnt make news of it because its a "nerd thing"

these days its all about Big Brother and that kind of shit.

Idiocracy, its coming!

Edit: i was a bit exaggerating about "no news" thing; i found 1 article about it with google in one finnish news site! woohoo.

The average person can name more characters from "Friends" and "Seinfeld" than they can Nobel Prize winners (not counting the Peace prize).

obama!

I don't know any Friends or Seinfeld characters beyond soupnazi... so I think that means I know of at least as many :P

I've been thinking of doing a 4d ray cast/trace, but I'm not sure I can wrap my mind around it. I'm not even sure generating a true hyperfractal and then rendering it with 4d->3d->2d would be computationally feasible with modern hardware. It'd probably need a 4d equivalent of sparse voxel octree (hyperpixel hexadeci-tree? :P). Hell, an accurate 2D mandelbrot set (64-bit zoom levels) needed hundreds of thousands of operations per pixel and that was without any dimensional projection.
