Spring RTS Engine

Hello.
I have a normal adsl connection.
When i try and connect to the server through the lobby it just freezes during one of the logging phases.
anyone knows what the problem is?
I have a 3g proc with 1g ram ati 850 pro
windows xp with no firewalls or antivirus software enabled.
Iv tried reinstallling the game several times.

lol so you dont have XP service pack 2 then.

You're either extremely lucky or your PC is in serious a serious state, with a very very high probability of having 1000+ viruses/spyware infections. I had a friend whose computer crawled despite having the best hardware I knew of at the time because he was in a similair situation to you, and he wasnt aware of it.

Or....he downloaded the maps torrent and it's spending half an hour caching them

do have service pack 2...and i have just a few maps..
