Delayed response from "player" (300 instead of 360

Post by Flurp »

Hi, im new to TA spring, and i LOVE it.

Although, i do have some trouble loading some maps, such as "tangerine"

When i start, and after choosing a start location i get the following error message

"Delayed response from "player" (300 instead of 360)"

I get lots of messages like that! each of the numbers have a difference of 60

Specs:
  • 2.6ghz pentium 4 processor
    512 MB ram
    Geforce 6600 256 MB
GFX card driver version : 91.47
When i played on-line with a friend he could play the map, but i kept getting the error stated above..

I would be very grateful for a reply... or anything i could do to fix it..

EDIT: also happens on maps like "Nometal Speedmetal"

this is a networkign issue and as such you'd be better off telling us what ISP you have, where, bandwidth, type of connection (ADSL VDSL SDSL Cable Satellite etc)

Also the other persons specs are relevant here.

You don't need to worry about it, most of the time. It appears when you are hosting and a player is lagging a bit.

Well im using ADSL 1meg broadband, from BT total broadband, and i live in the UK, the other persons specs is very similar to mine, although they use an ATI card..

Well this also happens on skirmish play off-line..

Im downloading a new GFX card driver, and some more maps, to see if it happens with them...
