Spring RTS Engine

I just installed the latest version (Regular installer, added 2006-12-29, on Windows).

Whenever I try to start a game (either from the "Spring test" menu or from the multiplayer system, I get to the loading screen, but then it crashes with the following message:
Incorrect/Missing content:
Error at position 545 when loading vertex program file treeNS.vp

I do have the file treeNS.vp in folder shaders, and it doesn't look corrupt.

At a rough guess i'd say you have the "3D trees (need vertex shader)" option enabled in options, given it's complaining about vertex programs and trees.

Time for an FAQ entry maybe?

I think it's because my graphics card sucks (onboard laptop thing), or maybe it's the drivers.
Turning off "3D Trees" solved this, but now I get "You are missing an OpenGL extension needed to use shadowmaps (fragment_program_shadow)" instead.

Updating the drivers didn't work either. I guess my graphics chip (SiS M760) just isn't good enough. Well, that's life.

SiS sucks. You'll have to disable everything that says "needs ____ shader".

Where can I find those settings?
