Bind "luai selector" to another key, will show the dialog, but wont hide it, only F11 will.

bet thats somewhere in the luaui code :)

Yup, F11 is hardcoded to shutdown the widget selector.
Escape is also hardcoded to do the same, and was the
original key (added the toggle style to F11 afterwards).

This can be changed in the next LuaUI release (which
doesn't have to follow Spring's release schedule). The
lua call-outs are available to access the key bindings.
