Spring RTS Engine

...They'd make a spring remake of the Halo map Blood Gulch. I ripped the mesh and made a heightmap (noise on the outside for inaccessibility purposes).

I've thought about this type of thing numerous times, im glad someone is finally doing it!

this heightmap would never look good.
the original had overhanging cliffs and caves. It really shows on the heightmap.

Could work with lots of retouching though.
