Spring RTS Engine

GameCam Lite is a program to record videos of the screen, like FRAPS.

When used with Spring, Spring crashes as soon as I hit the "record video" button:

Also the mouse cursor is gone and you have to quit spring with the windows task manager.

Iam downloading a new version of the software now (v1.3 -> v1.4.0.5), which is supposed to fix some bug:
Game Cam and Game Cam Lite will function correctly in OpenGL games on high-end video cards
So even if might not be Spring's fault I find it strange that other programs can crash it..

can't you just use fraps then?

Hm, Ill probally have to do so..
But doesnt the free version put some logo onto your video?

Yes. It puts a link to the website in the upper half. It's also limited to 30 seconds. You'll also have to encode the video and audio yourself because fraps doesn't do that on the fly. I use virtual dub and the ffdshow/LAME codec for xvid/mp3 encoding.
