What is up with the delete button?

I once said that the delete button is there but it appears randomly. I then tried testing it and couldn't make it appear. Just now I refreshed a page a couple of minutes after the last post and the delete button was there.
Anyone have any idea what causes it to appear? And this is always when I have the last post.

I'm guessing you are talking about the forums right? Well, when you make a post you get the chance to delete it. However, once someone responds (a post under) that option is no longer possible as it would break the thread.

Hmm, you'd have thought so but just testing it there and it doesn't seem to work.

Haha, it turns out it's forum defined. You can delete posts in Mods, but nowhere else

the "randomness" comes from the fact that it is possible to delete yer posts in one or two of the forums here at spring.
