I've seen clips of him laughing at the guy before, but never translated or explained. I can feel for the guy, it's terrible that he laughed, but really, there's alot of nervous pressure in a situation like that, the fact that he knew the consequences of his actions only made it worse. It's incredibly funny to watch though, even though there is a huge amount of gravity to the situation. I love stuff like this, it delves so deep into human nature how this could happen so easily against all better judgment.

I don't know why the hell they would record a show like that live, it's a really bad idea...

Heh. A possible spoiler in the small text.
FYI: It was made for a brilliant Belgian comedy show called "In de Gloria". Really, it was some of the best humor ever produced on Belgian television. Like KDR said, pretty much Pythonesque humor.
