How to setup single player game to practise?

Post by Ized »

Ok, I stumbled into TA Spring about 1 hour ago and it looks very exciting, but I have a small problem: How can I setup a game on my localhost against AI so I can practise a little?

I've tried number of times and the best result I got was having apparently one red dot on the map in a corner who got killer by one of my bots in few minutes time. Most of the time I just "win" the game against bots before I get the first building up.

Perhaps someone could give a quick rundown how setup a solo game properly against some bots for getting to know the game?

Thank you!

practise against players, AI's suck and playing them will get you into bad habits. The ONLY reason for playing a bot is a campaign (which we don't have) or if you aren't connected to the internet all the time. seriously. AI. SUCKS.

NTai comes with Spring SP and makes start menu shortcuts, just sue that to setup a game.

However I'd wait for XE8 which is due out very very very soon (I'd count in hours not days or weeks)

Like min3 said, every AI currently out is very, very basic and fairly buggy; even the best cant really put up much of a fight.

if you really want to gegt better, juts throw yourself into the fire and get spanked around some by better players :)
