what are the minimum network latency and bandwidth requirements for the host per player ? and how much for the client ?

why is there scroll lag when cpu reaches around 50% ?

I suggest latency < 100ms to other players.

Bandwith usage is 1-3kB/s per player, depends on number of units etc.

So for hosting big game, lets say 10 ppl, u need atlleast 30kB/s (240kbit/s) upload and download. So host must have a good line, others just need good ping to host and 3kB/s bandwith free.

is it possible that for say, a 3 player game you need more upload ?

if 2 players send 3 Kb/s to host, the host send 6 kb/s(not including himself) to EVERY other player ? so need 3*players*(players-1) upload bandwidth ?

I get problems hosting games of 4 players with a 1500/128 all bandwidth free.

2 players it works fine, also 3 players sometimes works fine but one of the players lags out sometimes.

so is it 3*players*(players-1), or 3*(players-1) ?

get dumeter and u will see how much bandwith u need.

its 3kB/s*(players-1) but can be more in huge games. eg not 3 but 5 or more.
