Spring RTS Engine

Whenever I start playing, there's an extended pause before I can even move the mouse. I get to choose my starting position, but then I have to wait somewhere between 20s and a minute before I can do anything; the mouse is just frozen before then.

Is this a common/known issue?

There is always a small pause when starting a game, when the commander and his build tree are loaded, but this usually only takes about a second. A pause of that long is strange.

What mod are you playing, and what are your computer specs?

If you're playing against a skirmish AI that pause is the AI loading what it needs to run
