Spring RTS Engine

i cant find safe mode from the command line because no one told me what it was. cmd doesnt work for this so it cant be that. can some one show me what the command line looks like and how to find it?

Run cmd, navigate to the dir containing your spring executable, type 'spring.exe --safemode'.

in the windows search bar i found testspring and testspring (safemode). is that the right one? and also does having the game at a lower resullution, does it run better?

yep. just right click at it / properties, then you can see that this runs spring.exe --safemode.

is there any thing i can turn on or off to improve performance? also if i don't launch the game with spring lobby, does the game put the bots in random spots like total annihilation? and does having the game on 800x600 resolution make the game run a little better?
