Spring RTS Engine

My friend and I are trying to play BA together, but when he hosts the game, his will load perfectly and I can't get in. (A black screen with a white "Connecting to Server - 1s" and a count up appears. It will count up indefinitely.) When I host the server, mine works perfectly while the same issue arises on his end.

He thought it might be something with the ports, because neither of us have the strange IP addresses shown. We tried disabling our firewalls, but that didn't fix the problem.

Is there something we're not performing correctly?

Are you on the same lan/public IP address?

Use a relayhost, or whichever of you hosts has to forward port 8452 on their router.
