i figure a lot of you guys have smartphones; i haven't really put my current to much use yet but it's a nifty little device that i got for next to nothing from a promotional offer (LG Optimus One)

so far i've really just been screwing with different firmwares (using cyanogen mod 7, it's pretty sexy but seems to nomnomnom my batteries)

anyways, what sorts of apps do you have on your telephone machine? i'm not well versed on anything beyond angry birds and the popular gameloft games (operation sandstorm, nova etc)

anyways i know there are a lot of Xcom fans amongst our forumgoers; just about to start playing some of this

thanks in advance for your info and suggestions; i figure other RTS fans are good people to ask for games and things that i would enjoy.

fieldrunners is great, just played a few games of it; i'm familiar already with robot unicorns from the browser version (also tons of fun)

unfortunately the other ones are apple only; but who knows, maybe in future i could get them.

Panda and I play on the same zombie farm save. It is able to be very slow paced or fast paced so we play it on trips.

If you haven't played it for another system yet, WOOOORLD OOOOF GOOOOOO!~

SF4 is a fun timewaster. Phoenix Wright is one of the greatest visual novels ever made.

Solomon's Keep and Boneyard
Land Air Sea Warfare (TA-style RTS)
Q Pang
Robotek (nothing to do with Macross)
Mission Europa would be good if it didn't crash so much...

I've used twenty or so smart phones over the last few years, though I've owned only one - I work with different models at work, in fact. I have an Android device (Archos 28) and a WebOS device (Pixi Plus). My Archos device has Game Dev Story and some basic productivity software. My Pixi has the default software suite because - as a development device without any network activation - I cannot register the App Catalog. I'll probably install the open source alternative when I have the time, but for now, the Pixi is perfectly fine. It does most of what I want to on a smart phone out of the box, and the OS is considerably smoother than iOS, Android or WP7 despite the comparatively low hardware specs of the Pixi Plus.

Game Dev Story

Really all you need.
