How bad will your eyelids feel after blinking at 60hz for 2 hours?

Haha :)

There are actually few 3D systems without glass. But imo the only promising is some EU sponsored project currently still in development phase which projects laser images directly to eyes.

(System tracks eyes and projects red, green, blue lasers into retina). I read some preview from journalists testing it and they were quite impressed.

Image appears as it would be on normal screen (its project in shape to match some "screen" which is actually just black piece of plastic) and you can even do neat tricks with it - like paralax (if you move you can see objects from different angle) or multi user - each user can see completely different image on same screen.

that sounds nice, Licho. also sounds like it could be made to require extremely little power to run, and use much less resources (plastic, metals, ...) to produce, compared to a normal screen. if the lasers could then be integrated into some sort of glasses, it could be the end of screens as we know then, including even the screens of smart-phones.
maybe you would have to use special contact lenses, redirecting the light of the lasers or something, when using the glasses approach.

it would also be tremendously annoying, walking through the streets and getting 3D adds projected right into your eyes. remember back to the future 2? i think it was a shark or T-Rex biting off your head. you would probably have to wear special lenses or glasses, that would prevent someone projecting stuff into your eyes. They would then mix in useful stuff, like traffic lights using this system too, so if you use the anti-* glasses, you will not see adds, but will be driven over (your choice).
the future is bright!
laser bright! right into your eyes!

120hz I think? If it's even real at all.

Ouioui ze tri-di glassez pour le moniteur..

This is the most retarded shit I ever saw(well not really just exaggerating), good luck getting this product approved for sale anywhere in Europe. Maybe there is a market in asia where they have no health regulations. Lol he should do his whole sales pitch with this shit on, bet that will give people a laugh and then earn him a pat on the shoulder at least after he gets a resounding thumbs down.

I think every eye needs 60hz and one is closed while the other is open.
The screen itself has 120hz. (I think)

It's not so hard to make people blink, probably similar sized device could do it for some time.
Depeneds whether its easier to fake or make such device :) Im also not sure if place of contact is enough to make you blink, it probably needs more nerves/muscless access

I mean this obviously isnt a serious proposal but a fun, but it might even be simpler to make such device than to "photoshop" it :)

I think it is possible to make you blink at a certain frequency with electricity, but would such a device work on your temples?

Shouldnt the electrodes be right at the eyelid?

Also it wouldnt be pleasent at all if it works.

yea i guess. does the eyelid even open and close fast enough?
perhaps it would be better to put a switch thing in the nerves that go
from eye to brain and turn that on/off at needed frequency.

Perhaps it would work :)

And if you apply high enough voltage it should turn several nearby muscles into spasm..
I suggest someone to test it - just apply some high voltage 500V or more (but don't forget use low current!).
If you don't have suitable power source at home, I recommend taking adapter, butchering transformer out from it and simply connect it to battery with shorter winding. As you spark it on battery contacts, it will produce safe high volate to experiment with.

However i also believe its possible to learn to blink so fast, its not full 25Hz :)

If it's so safe, why not try it yourself ^^
