The revised table is a follows:

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus:* Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

So apparently I'm a Capricorn now... but that may not be useful information given that most astrology is likely based on observations of the people thought to be born under that sign... so we'll probably just have to throw out the whole kit and caboodle and start again.

(note that while I don't read my horoscope this is because I don't want to know what my future holds and not because I think the practice is insane)

Yeah, The Zodiac stuff is quite useless because its the same everywhere on the world.

But, funnily enough, it actually matters which month of the year you have born at. There was a study about this recently, for example those who born at winter, most probably have weaker immune system etc... cant rem exactly but it was quite important anyways. It also does affect your personality too.

Astrology is just yet another religion for people who need hope etc. I suggest to watch Pen & Teller episode about it...

buzz on the twitter is pointing out that the locations were calculated based on the positions of the various celestial bodies in 2009 and as such the list I posted is only valid for people born in 2009... your sign is probably still wrong but one would have to do a bunch of fancy maths to figure out what it really is.

All I know is that I was still born in the year of the Cock, and that's all that matters.

I do think that fortune tellers or astrologists are interesting even though I don't believe in astrology. It's like watching someone do a magic trick even if it involves you paying for it the same way you would a show.

Astrology is nonsense, it can be proven, and all evidence indicates it is false, a great big pile of superstitious nonsense. Astrology claims to have a real methdology and a real scientific basis, that the planets really can influence our lives. Sure if an asteroid impact on mars sends a lump of rock into orbit where it then ends up on a course for earth and makes it through the atmosphere and crashes through your roof you could be forgiven for thinking that, but I doubt astrology would predict it.

The reason it appears to fit is because it makes extensive use of barnum statements.

ya thats one of those topics where even christians and atheists agree.... to think about it, christians and atheists agree on most things except for just a few, like just one of the gods, a couple prophets, a few myths, a theory or two, etc. Minor disagreements really, when you think about it, like 99.9% agreement LOL.

Just look at all those articles and books and astrologers.
And people who believe it can actually act according to its predictons
