[problem solved!]help needed: 3doBuilder imports

I'm having a serious problem with 3doBuilder. Briefly: I cannot get 3doBuilder to import models correctly. 3doBuilder freezes when I try to import .lwo files (which are what I used to use for importing a long time ago). I've tried using .dxf files because I have a little more luck with those. However, I get two very specific errors whenever I import with .dxf file format, the second being critical:
1.)On one face (apparently at random each time I export from Rhino3D) one of the vertices is pulled out to the XYZ coordinate (0,0,100). This I can fix, and do.
2.) Another face (also apparently at random) completely disappears, and another polygon gains four more vertices, which along with one of its 'normal' vertices, get pulled to the XY coordinates of (0,0). I took this picture to demonstrate what I'm talking about here.

I was able to solve my problem, but it's an annoying solution I had to use. First I take my .3dm files in Rhino and convert them into .3ds. Then using Wings I import the .3ds files, and export as .obj files (turns out Wings is good for something after all...). THEN I take the .obj files and import them into 3doBuilder+. Then I have to reflect them over the YZ plane and un-invert all the faces. *sigh* such is the life of a modeler, I suppose...

What version of Rhino?

Rhino 2 exports lwo 5 fine without 3dobuilder import issues

I'm using Rhino3D 2.0, and I've done export-import-FREEZEOFDOOM on three different computers.

Hmmmm, works fine for me. What version of 3dobuilder? 2.1 Is about as reliable as a dead fly.

heh, I've tried importing with both, and they both freeze on me. Oddly enough, 3doBuilder 2.1 works on college computers just fine, although I should note that I have zero textures in play when I'm doing this...

Maybe I should spike a few mavs on the alter to appease the spirits, for they are proud and spiteful beings...
