I'm pretty sure Kerning doesn't mean what you think it does.

Nope, zooming doesn't change the way text is rendered (the screen of knorke's post is scaled, I didn't reduce its width enough to fit in the quote). It'd be hard for me to be using IE in linux though

Oh, Linux renders web fonts differently to windoze anyway right? In which case, I stand even less of a chance!
