No, microcenter is like the walmart of computer stores in the US. It quite literally is a department store for all things computer related. They have jsut about anything and everything you could possibly want, and the best part? All at newegg.com prices. Plus, epic win return/replacement policies. For example, if you buy a monitor from them and have a single dead pixel, you can exchange it for another. Everyone else has policies of at least 3 - 5 dead pixels before you can get a replacement.

Edit: Even without the rebate, it's a fucking steal.

the gts 250 is better according the to benchmarks, and my two years old gtx 260 (216sp) is better than a gts 250, and im sure you can get a gtx 260 for that price (or less) on ebay ...

uhhhhhhh it's not better in real life -_- I've owned five cards equivalent to the GTS 250 and I can say for certainty my 460m specced similar to a desktop 450 performs better across a wide range of games than my SLI'd desktop 250s

you might hit a wall on memory bandwidth (higher in the 250) but anything DX11 and will be rocked by the 450 (with fermi and half again as many processors)

also performance/power is better on the 400 series

Dx10 is wife winsauce. If I wasntbepicpy drunk atm is prove.it, bit yeah, winsauce.

Best card for its money is still the GTX460. It just costs >130Ôé¼ compared to the >100Ôé¼ GTS450, and it is >45% faster.

Nope, the best gpu for the money is the venerable gtx 470. It may be EOL'd but you can grab them dirt cheap, and boy do they perform!

(this is coming from a proud gtx 460 owner)

Anyways, the gts 450 is a great little card, I kind of wish I had a couple . Have fun with it, and crank that core! 950mhz or gtfo.
