I need 10 friends on Steam by the end of tommorow, my steamname is sinbadev ... add me!

Also, do you have to like... do all of these little achievement things? If so that is ridiculous, I'm not buying all these games!

You only need to get 10 "things" but so far, yesterday had "set up a profile photo" and today has this "10 friends" thing... so I'm assuming if you come every two days you'll be able to get 6 "things" without buying games and so I'm hoping that I'll luck out and own some of the required games along the way.

(note that one of the achievements today "Go To Your Happy Place" only requires you to play the demo)

I will add only if you plan to play copious amounts of tf2 with me.

I can make no promises... partly because my computer craps out after rendering 3D for about 30 minutes and partly because I suck at TF2.

Its so much easier to just pay the 5 bucks to buy the game...

well, I got my friends... there's this think called The Great Steam Treasure Hunt ( http://store.steampowered.com/treasurehunt ) going on at steam right now... at the time of the post, getting 10 friends would enter me in a draw for 5 free games and 1/10th of a chance to win 100 games... each day has a "community" achievement so far... days 1-2 Profile Pic, Days 3-4 10 friends, Days 5-6 Join an Official Community... there are also game-play achievements that are related to on sale games (one day you just had to try a specific demo to get the achievement),,, sorry, too much explanation for a question that was meant to be taken as "Why are you a consumer whore dumb head?"?

Did you get your 10 friends in time? I have a bit of an unfair advantage, I'm a serious steam gamer... Hopefully I win stuff :D

Apparently you can do the achievements retroactively, so no worries I guess :S

follow your nose for the steaming treasure hunt!

Do you have to do all objectives? That would be insane.

Lets all add each other+ list the obj that you can do without buying crappy games.

just by doing almost nothing you can get 4/10 points so far
1.join a group
2.get 10 friends on your list
3.set up an avatar
4.dowload the kiddy game demo "The Undergarden" and play it.

Problem: we have four more days to go and we need 6 more points how do we know we can fill them up by doing stuff that doesnt cost anything?
