I would have given this more thought if she was just standing up straight and saying this. Suspenseful music and desaturation filters do not a good point make.
Not to say that I don't think she has a good point, but the way she's trying to drive it in distorts the meaning of what she's saying. It's almost hypocritical, because she's using the same tactics the "opressors" she describes do to influence people's opinion.
One more thing: As much as we fear Orwell's vision, we ought to
be wary of Huxley's.

I tried listening to it but woke up only at the end where humanity awakens and starts having orgies on the streets..

I suppose the positive attitude is nice and all, but her complete disregard of history makes her point baseless. For instance during antiquity people weren't as prude as now, it's mainly christianity that introduced body hate. Or it's only been about a century that procreation can be separated from recreational sex.
Also, it's easy to say all bodies and sexualities are equally beautiful when you're a cute teenage girl. Now imagine the same speech from an ugly male elderly zoo or pedo.

Yeah, sometimes I feel fused to my pc.
But when I saw this before I thought: Orwell is happening in North Korea, and then Huxley is more the way of the west. I assume it is very possible I myself am already 'controlled' in huxley's way.
(although realising this diminishes the effect)
I would not 'place' the scenario's in time anymore, but already 'place' them on a current location.
I think the difference is, in the west you can freely read Orwell and Huxley, I strongly doubt the same applies to nk.
(Perhaps condescending but I guess if you don't read them the difference is smaller
)

"Body hate" is sectal to Christianity as well. It's not biblically based. Biblical Christianity preaches the beauty and worth of all things created by God. "Body hate" is an unnecessary and unwanted side effect of fear of sexuality...
I personally do believe in the Christian concept of sexual self discipline... Sex is almost as powerful a chemical dump as any illegal drug. Many many many people are addicted to it, and define their life around it. I've had many ups and downs in my life, but I've established through experiment and heart ache that the chemicals involved in sex can manipulate your thoughts and behaviors as much or more than any pharmaceutical. So to me, like any psychoactive substance, if you're going to be a responsible user, you control the substance, rather than allowing the substance to control you.
That being said, I decry the "fear of sex" as well. It's something to be respected, not feared. It's no more inherently dangerous than alcohol, but certainly no less either.
Although, that's the thing that irks me about a movement like this. It's just another "Look how screwed up the world is! We must worship the god of X!" Whatever she is promoting won't fix the world, won't dispel any wars, won't feed any hungry people, won't cure any diseases. There's hundreds of holes in the argument that sex is the pinnacle of human worth and experience.
Sex is certainly something poorly understood and widely mistreated by the majority of our culture, both right side and left, but that is neither the cause of nor the solution to, all of, or even many of our problems.

actually she is getting a masters

..
anyway, I think the same way, people should be happy with their bodies and their sexuality. I don't think it is right to be ashamed of yourself. Sure being healthy is good but so is self love. This is coming from a guy who has pretty much seen the full gamut of what the internet and japan has to offer wrt porn.
