I still hate age.

age of empires II = mega game, I cracked it out again recently and its lost none of its awesome

AoE2 best in the series by far.

Quite decent to play online.

Funny, I consider AoE3 to be the best objectively in the series. Maybe because it's the one I'm best at, haha.

I love AoK, but it has it's flaws.

Sooooo many halberdiers and skirmishers have met their death in that game. Soooo many...

I like Age of Mythology (which I believe is based on the AoE 2 engine?) a lot... but only single player... the multiplayer mode was too slow paced and boring or something... it just wasn't fun without the campaign specific missions and story progression aspects.

AoM was pretty fun. I enjoyed the large differences between the three civs. It was pretty slow, and from what I remember, very quiet...

Never played more than the first level of the campaign. I'll admit my attention wanders on any RTS campaign that doesn't end in "craft"

Excluding the William Wallace Learning Campaign of course

I liked it a lot, too, but AoE2's engine?
...Aoe2 was isometric, AoM was fill 3d with skeletal anims and stiff...
