Perhaps that could be something to do with the Spring devs (Not you), charging "zero euros" for anything related to Spring in any way.

I just find it rediculous that such a simple game can make that much money.

Don't forget to also compare how Spring fare against the millions failed projects no one ever heard about despite how hard the author worked and how good they thought their game was.

It's called "Survivor bias" or something: You only hear about the winner, never about the loser. In races, gold medal get all the interviews and flashes, 50th runner gets none. Most successful man on earth makes magazine cover routinely, while most unlucky bum remains unheard of. Dead people don't got talking about how the greatest doctors prognosticated them another fifty years to live. Researcher spending all his career on what ultimatly reveal itself as wrong track doesn't get any Nobel. There never was any reality shown about the ugly daughter of a most homeless hobo. The man who dropped school to follow his dream of music and ends up playing in the subway doesn't get asked how he managed to fails along all odds. Well, you get the idea.

Here's a random game the author of had high hope for and got disappointed upon seeing it wouldn't "go viral".

Speaking of not doing anything... did anyone ever port my old "Chess" mod to an actual Lua arbitrated game?

I split this topic, as it may bear some discussion.

Well i made map mods, they count as games, and were fun too. They were more popular than some of the actual "games" made on spring engine :-)

Same here, i just cant understand it why on earth that game got so popular, i played it before it got popular and i didnt like it, i tried after it got popular, and it was the same shit... I keep thinking "WHY", but it just doesnt make any sense.

Although, i think that guy gets taxed quite a lot from it, maybe gets 30% in his hand from all that money.

Who cares if you don't like it, the rest of the internet disagrees and was willing to pay for it.

That game is painful to play. Going out into your local forest for a few days would be easier; the interface isn't as clunky.

Hey, PURE went commercial, you can try going commercial with your games and charge people to play them.

With that context, think about what you said again :D

Wut? i never said i would want to get any money. I've done more than enough to pay the imaginary 9.95Ôé¼ fee to play on Spring engine, thats what i was refering to.
