I remember watching a martial arts movie about china or japan and there was fight scene where one of the warriors loses his arm and the other gets tabbed in the stomach with a sword.
They both die and it think thats how the movie ends.
Its full of impossible moves etc etc...
Anyone familiar with this type of movies?
exaggerated martial arts with tons of gore...

where one of the warriors loses his arm
There is like a trillion remake of this one! The story is always the same: The hero is a young and reckless wandering knight, he meet the end bosses who cut his arm. The heroes is now desperate, he realize how fool and arrogant he was, and he tries to forget his life of swordfighting deeds into degrading jobs. He compensate having only one arm by developping superhuman agility on the remaning arm. He meets the girl, who makes him believe in himself again. In the end he confront the final boss again, and, though he has less arms, he knows win because he's become much wiser. It usually involves the boss doing his special trick that could only be countered by having three arm, that the hero defeat by having thrown three swords in the air then catching them in sequence with his one arm.
They both die
Ah sorry wrong movie. If the arm loss is just a random injury and not movie defining, there's even more movies like that. In fact it's a whole genre. I think it's called... Wuxia?

I kinda liked the gratuitous self-evisceration of Golden Swallow. But again, this movie had been remade so many times under the same title I can't even find the version I saw first.

Not fist-fighting, but swords-fighting. And yes, torrent of blood and dismemberements are an integral part of the wuxia genre.

This movie sounds great with a sixpack of beer.
maybe this: The One-armed Swordsman (þì¿ÞçéÕêÇ, HK 1967)
I must say I like the 36 chambers a film without much gore but its very well made for its time.
And I have a restored version with clear picture and more than one actor who redubs the film.

Chan sam ying hung (A Hero Never Dies)
I saw it when I was a kid on the late-night hong kong cinema thing that CityTV used to run... It's kinda like the arm loosing thing but he loses his legs... there is this incredibly dramatic scene near the end that, if you don't crack up laughing watching, you have no sense of humor at all.

Versus really was awesome! That guy lost his eye, had to fight off all kinds of evil enemies, and risked loosing his soul over numerous lifetimes.
