Ah yes, sugar alcohol...
You should try vodka. It is so utilitarian and delicious, and the hang overs aren't ambiguous.
If you are feelign really classy, maybe some gin.
mmmmmm christmas trees.

ARGH, Beherith, you came first. Its a piratnavii, arrr.
Which reminds me, i never asked some serious questions concerning pandora - for example, how do they controll there population? In uncivilized circumstances, tribes wage constant wars against each other - or on some islands they practice infantzid. Also, what drugs does pandora grow? There is always the plant with the evil poison that makes the magic lights go out.
Finally, what about interspecies contamination? If a human shits into the woods, does that make no difference? What about herpes, aids, all those citycivilisation induced diseases- not a single one jumping the border?
Also Rum was a bad idea. Have to sleep, got to typofix the dreams, that coconuts chase me with a strandwitch

Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe.... maybe. But I have yet to meet someone that can outsmart RUM.

Since this thread started derailed I would like to summaries the reasons I don't drink alcohol:
First and foremost I would like to point out that while I may think something is wrong and don't do it myself I am in no way trying to judge anyone who disagrees with my opinions on this matter... I used to when I was younger and less wise, but I think I've matured a bit since then.
First, regardless of ones opinion on the matter, the consumption of "sufficient" alcohol has the "intended" effect of reducing your ability to control yourself, hence why it is referred to as a "disinhibitor". When I was aged between 17 and 22 I was constantly using a significant portion of my brain to repress urges to hurt myself and others and perhaps other negative behaviors... so for me, at that time, drinking was a bad idea.
My second primary concern is very close to that of the Wesleyan church, of which I'm a member. Namely, if no-one drank alcohol no-one would ever:
- Drive Drunk
- Beat their Spouse or Children because they were drunk
- avoid dealing with their problems by drinking
- get alcohol poisoning
- suffer from alcoholism
- spend money that should be spent on nutritious food on beer instead
- get drunk and engage in unprotected sex
- be affected by fetal alcohol syndrome
- (... you can add many other things to this list)
Now, I agree that if you NEVER drink to excess, the majority of the aforementioned problems would be avoided... that said, as you consume alcohol your judgment becomes impaired and as such, your ability to know your limit and stop before you hit it is reduced with each drink.
So, I don't drink because I think drinking is an unwise choice... not because I believe it is inherently evil.

I personally like alcoholic drinks for their taste, not their alcoholic properties, and find it disturbing that people grow accustomed to and drink things they dont like the taste of purely out of convention to fit in, when there are nicer alcoholic drinks out there.
Im not a fan of getting drunk for the sake of it either, as that's pointless. Why get drunk to have fun if the definition of that is getting so drunk you dont remember, defeating the point of it? Im not fond of people whose only form of socialising is getting drunk, as thats boring, everybody drinks, so what makes you worth giving a monkey about when I can just leave you in a bar?
I like Rum, it tastes nice, and Ill drink water when I feel the drunken effects taking hold so I dont get too drunk and have no hangover. That way I stay merry but Im not rat assed
