:D it's all from a show called "f*cking hell" by jake and dinos chapman. the video gives a good idea of the sheer scale of the dioramas... this must take a year to throw one of these bad-boys together!
oh yeah, dont look if you cant stand looking at blood or hermaphrodites

my friend saw these in the gallery first hand (i think it was in spain) and he said the miniatures were about 2-3 inches tall

Wow, that artist was really detailed. Smoth is good at making models and dioramas, but I've never seen one quite like that before. I hear that they sometimes use those for movies.
I made a diorama of one of the levels of Hell (the one where people guilty of lust, one of the seven deadly sins were) in Dante's "Inferno" for an English project before. I used board game figures, paint and cardboard for the background, and what little description there was available in the book. I thought that it was a nice model, but I must admit that the Dungeons and Dragons fire elemental miniatures weren't as gory as all of that and I didn't imagine anything that looked quite like that while making the model either. It's very unlikely I could have made a model that looks like that.

codex : nazi zombies!
haha i've made some dioramas too, i remember at some point making a cool one by painting those green army men and combining them with a styrofoam terrain to make a scene from "all quiet on the western front" but i mean, that was a short job, its just amazing with these guys how much time and effort they've put into their scenes. i really hope i get to see these with my own eyes at some point in my life; truly epic

Not trying to sound like an insensitive jerk, but I found the only moving part of the video to be the music. I had a hard time making out what was going on in the models like 90% of the time.
Maybe it just means it's something that should be viewed in its entirety and not in a panning video.

I guess so. Probally more impressive if you see it in whole and then bow down to look at some smaller detail etc.

Yea, it sucks how it's the same sort of thing over and over with stuff like skulls in it.
Why don't I ever get to see pictures of something like yoga students standing on their heads. They all look so cute because their cheeks are rosy and look extra puffed like chipmunk cheeks. They also are supposed to have relaxed smiling faces so their eyes look open, but relaxed and they're all smiling. It just makes you want to giggle and pinch everyone on the cheeks because they're all upside-down and balancing like chipmunks.

Aww.
I don't know how to paint or anything and am not sure if I could make a video like that (The yoga practitioners probably would not want to be recorded and I'm not skilled in using the camera. You couldn't record a good video if they're all worried about the camera too.). I'd have to figure out how to place cute animal figures in the yoga studio too if I were to make a video. It is important to wisely use open space because it can be shaped as well. I don't tend to like poor space utilization.
