the sorcerer's apprentice

Do not waste your time on this piece of Hollywood crap.
Started watching,couldn't finish.

Standard action film GFX.
Shitty acting.
Characters are not believable at all.
Plot is completely uninspired, uninteresting and feels like it was written in an hour.
Even the attempts at humor are pathetic.
2/10 on the Gota scale.
Only good part in this movie is monica bellucci.

I don't know what sort of kids or teenagers this supposed fanatsy film is made for,but any kid will definitely grow into a dumber human being as a result of watching this film.

There are many videos with this title, which year has the movie been release?

A live-action movie based on a wordless animated bit from Fantasia? Sucks? No, really?

Then again, Disney is the company that made a wonderful pirate film out of a freaking amusement-park ride, so you never can tell.

...though they then dragged it out unnecessarily over two sequels.

Is this the one with Nicholas Cage? I am unsurprised.

Haven't seen The Road, but I recommend The Book Of Eli.

i watched the road and the book of eli only days apart, and although the setting and subject matter was fairly similar (both are post-apocalyptic adventure tales set in the USA with crazy cannibals) they were quite different and good for their own merits

i found the road to be a bit more believeable in terms of what actually happens in the movie which in turn makes it a bit scarier... book of eli on the other hand has some badass knife fights

certainly both worth a watch, hard to pick one as superior

hurm maybe we need a summer movie thread

Saw inception last night in IMAX. REALLY REALLY good. Just incredible visually(There are a couple scenes that I could spend hours just watching them over and over again) and it will mess with your head. There are a couple plot holes and Leonardo Dicaprio is not my favorite actor, but it was just a great movie.

Book of Eli?Really?
I found it to be pretty bad unless your a religious person.
This movie could have made some sense in the eyes of none believers if they hadn't presented danzel as a kind of prophet protected by god and if they didn't than show us that other books and documents have been preserved as well.
Obviously The bible becomes completely useless If contemporary documents addressing similar issues are preserved.
If on the other hand They would have presented a completely primordial state where nothing was preserved than yes the bible would have made sense in the role that was given to it in the movie.

As someone who has been watching a lot of Disney Channel recently... I am unsurprised by your assessment of Sorcerer's Apprentice but I also expect I would enjoy it (though I will most definitely wait for it to be broadcast on TV rather then wasting money on it.)
