This thread is about windmills.
What kind of windmills you like, what is your favorite windmill have you ever seen a windmill?
Here I made this instruction how to make your own windmill:
You can watch it spin in front of your wind-ow.

Outside it works too, like WhooooopWhoooopWhooopWhoooop a few fast rotations then waiting then WhooopWhooopWhoop.
Sorry for the bad pictures, camera sucks with dark night, flash and bright surfaces

Please PM me with the description of what you're taking, it seems very good.
The whole windmill powered by windmill idea is thrilling.

Found no company name, only says that it was build for "Rossmann Ideenwelt", some german shop. But it really blows your mind.

really old ones, don't have a favourite because i've never seen one IRL.
Windmills are awesome, researched them so I could make a 3d model to get accepted into a game development venture.

Carrepairer would probably like to use that model.

There are large areas of land dotted with unmaintained or poorly maintained windmills in the hills around my locale, and a few working personal ones in the surrounding cities. We flirt with wind power but have always been more interested in hydroelectric and solar.

theres a big windmill in the downtown of my city (toronto)
seems like a good idea in theory... harness the power of wind for free energy... however, according to my friend who works for the nuclear commission, its a big joke... takes 2x as much power to convert the current from the windmill to something useable than it actually creates
this is my favourite windmill; its from the isle of wight in britain where my granny lives

Your friend from the nuclear commission sounds pretty ill informed. There are a number of problems with implementing the technology, ranging from comparatively high capital cost to the need for load balancing/hybrid electrical systems, but requiring excessive amounts of input to harness is not one.

As I understand it, wind power can turn a profit commercially, but it lacks the horsepower to compete by a long margin, and the carbon it saves during its lifetime is dwarfed by the carbon footprint of producing it in the first place, making it merely an expensive marketing ploy, or a generator for people who want to have small profit margins.

meh i probably didnt understand then what he was telling me, im no scientician. just be assured that it's super inefficient in many ways.
its not a conventional windmill, its some sort of new type thats meant to adjust according to inconsistent and gusting winds, which apparently takes a lot more complicated adjustment than a conventional windmill
all i know is its a ridiculous gimmick and a massive waste of money. like AF said, it kicks the crap out of the environment just to make something like that. the best part is how people are all "ohhh its going to reduce pollution blah blah blah" when clearly that's bullshit
province spent 6 billion dollars to upgrade the billing and distribution system for power... now i have to run the dishwasher after 9pm if i want a decent rate, and even then, its still more expensive than before this "reform".
*edit* if we really want to protect the environment, pay russia 10 million dollars to nuke china FTW

Yeah we have
raspberry jam solar cells for that.
Has anyone here built one?
