if they made a proper sequel, on the engine from the first, with the loving care and depth of the first, i would still pay full price for it regardless of the dated looks.

I assume this is gonna be a shitty game though i hope it will be great.
Already there are holes,first of all this is a prequel but seems to be just as techy as the first and maybe even more.
Second of all the date in the trailer is 1027 Oo what?i mean in 17 years they are trying to say we will have bionic eyes and giant 4 legged mechs?just...WTF...

after all one sees in the trailer it might be a third person shooter now.

my other worry is that it's produced in canada

and that 99% of canadian generated media is crap

deus ex with the shifter mod is probably the best game of all time. that was a fucking sweet trailer, but then invisible war had a good trailer too iirc, and that game suffered from being terrible

Whats the big deal about the trailer?it's just a movie there is no gameplay.
Shrek 3 looks better.

Because we didn't see anything. We just saw an FMV that was generated by some guys who possibly haven't even *seen* the game.

You remember back in the '90s how many TV shows and movies had cartoon openings? Honey, I shrunk the kids? I dream of Jeannie? The Rosie O'Donnell show? The Inspector Cluseau movies? Imagine if you saw those opening credits and didn't see the rest, how much would it tell you about what you're going to watch? You'd think you were going to watch a cartoon... possibly one about a pink panther (instead of a bumbling detective).

This is like that.

don't get me wrong, i WANT it to be good, its just that so many awesome games had fail sequels, especially in this day and age...

Im a big fan of part one in fact i played it again a few weeks ago.
But this looks like "stylish" xbox crap with a lot of "cool" action with too much bloom and depth of field. (so that xbox idiots think its good gfx).
Of course its just a trailer but this doesnt show the deus ex atmosphere.

The non linear gameplay will probably not be there at all so it will be a splinter cell game.
The consoles destroyed the good games to console players an adventure game is like fahrenheit.
Games will never be the same again.

Dont they feel any shame? Its like making a gay looking remake of blade runner.

If its a real deus ex game Im the first one who will buy it. (or maybe the 200000nst)
