I just noticed it was available for downloads...

Hmm..I must admit i had no idea of the existence of the Evangelion New Theatrical Edition.
From the description in the wiki page its like a less inspired,less original,butchered version of the original series...Is that so?what scared me are the following words:
"with the first three films providing new scenes, settings, and characters as well as newly available 3D CG technology and the fourth presenting a completely new conclusion to the story. Another stated intention of the series is for it to be more accessible to non-fans than the original TV series and films were."

Also,what is the differance between 2.0 and 2.25?

Well... I really liked the first one 1.11...
If you've seen the series, it mostly follows the same thread, but it feels like it's been speeded up to work as a movie.

I would surely recomend it if you liked the series.


As for the difference between 2.0 and 2.25, I have no clue...
I think the difference between 1.0 and 1.11 was that 1.11 was the directors cut, or something like that...

Just ordered a new Tvix mediacenter so I can watch it as well :)

Just watched it, and I mush say that I loved it :)
It steps much further away from the TV series than the first movie, so you'r not really sure what's going to happen, even though it basically follows the series... not sure how to explain it... Watch it
