Even if you're a total beginner it should be easy to run a fortress for a game year, just remember magmafall in dining room == bad.

i remember my last fortress, there were cats and dogs everywhere for some reason shitting in the halls, and i didnt have enough dwarves to clean up after them, and most died of miasma

I won't commit to it now, but I'm interested. I'd play either 40d with Civ. Forge or a less buggy future build of the present version with Civ. Forge or equivalent.
