Hmm had to install half of micro$oft's products to start the installation.

Well, it is the same old MW4: Mercenaries with MekTek that serious players have been playing on and off for years. You'll still be looking at basic 256x and 512x textures and rocking it out to the same old loadouts. That said, I like not having to dig out my CDs or futz, so this is a nice move.

Best thing microsoft did so far.

Actually ned, you can get a hi res texture patch and also use mek teks mech paks which have a ton of un official mechs and weapons.

u lie about high res textures!!! link or didn't happen.

The high res textures aren't much better looking or better done, though. And I did say...

Also its impossible to download it form Mektek x cause there are 0 peers.

It's quite possible to download it with MTX or with utorrent (start dl with MTX, stop it and then look into <wherever you installed it>\MTX\temp\games\torrents\ for .torrent files, then you can use those with any torrent client. When done, put downloaded .MTX files into MTX\temp\games and MTX should see them and allow you to install them). I've done it 2 times already.

As for changes compared to previous mekpaks: now all the new stuff is available in SP campaign too (and you don't need to do old hacky 'buy all of a mech type, sell one and then buy MP mechs' trick anymore).

Exactly what happened to Mechwarrior Living Legends after they released their first version.

There's a huge market for mechwarrior-like games just waiting to get exploited.

Just torrent it. Between MTX failing hard and their site crashing, chances are you'll be waiting for a week otherwise.

EDIT: the .mtx file is a zip file, just extract anywhere and play. No need to install anything.

Got it played for a while today doing the campaign on veteran setting.
