Cool missile firing anims

Those seem to be advertisement clips from one Russian arms company:
Club-M and
Club-K
Interesting deployment and firing sequences, might be worth it to make some units which work like those.

Club-K is pretty damn frightening.
I was hoping that was just somebody's demo reel, but no, Concern Morinformsystem-Agat JSC is a very real arms manufacturer.

I loved the fact that its got super pirates of the caribbean music while the missiles are being fired. The animation and concepts are also super cool.

Yes make civilian cargo trucks/ships/trains in TA. They'll never see it coming.

The linked Club K video was removed and going through the uploader's profile to find it resulted in a version with no real music, maybe they removed that for copyright reasons already?

The video is still up on
this Russian site. I too think that youtube removed it because of the music.

if you buy this weapon, you automatically make all ships, trucks and trains viably targets for the enemy. "we had to shoot that train. it would have been a Club-K".
when getting close to the target, on the sea, they start flying even closer to the water-level, and start some booster?

hmmm.. i do not think this is what i am referring to.
that is the switch that happens soon after launch, as it sound to me. i am talking about the one shortly before the impact.

Making weapons is awesome. We can't get all uppity if Russians are making weapons when Americans are making weapons all the time.

I think it's harder to hit/see missiles close to the surface.

That's the anti-ship variant which speeds up to mach 3. Anti-ground missiles from this system are probably not supersonic (and they don't need to be, it's quite hard to maneuver a supersonic missile this close to the surface. Ocean is much flatter than ground most of the time).
Speed of sound: 330 m/s. Speed of missile (as specified by manufacturer): 180-240 m/s. Speed of that anti-ship warhead at the final part of trajectory: up to 700 m/s.

Same composer and *incredibly* similar tune, but yeah, I'm pretty sure the song was from Pirates of the Caribbean.

"Unless sales are very tightly controlled, there is a danger that it could end up in the wrong hands," he said.
I dont think the container alone can do anything? It surely also needs antenna systems, satelits and what not to guide the rocket. For example if you look at the patriot rockets at first you only see the launch site but a lot of other technic is also needed.
I think it's harder to hit/see missiles close to the surface.
I thought that too but appearently radar is advanced enough to detect low flying missles and they are systems (like large gatling guns) that shot down mach 2 missles. surely if "pimped up" a bit they work for faster missles too.

or you could just shot an explosive something in the path of the missle so that the watersplash destroys it.

The closer to surface it is, the harder it is to detect. Not impossible, just harder (and especially if over ground where it can fly behind hills, etc.). That means it will be detected at closer range, and what mach 3 speed does at that range is that it doesn't give point-defence systems time to react.
As for the container, there is no info as to what is and isn't included in it, ie are there enough targeting systems inside to launch the missile on a specific target or does it require additional external equipment. That's a self-guided missile, it just needs to be pointed in general direction of target, it will do the rest on its own (on-missile radar with 65 km range kind of helps there).
This approach would work good vs ships (large objects are easy to discern on water surface), but won't work vs ground targets (there are enough large objects on land beside the target so self-guidance won't help much). So I suppose it can be used as anti-ship system with container only, but it does require some more equipment to use it on land.

Not that anti-ship equipment is unimportant. I think any force attempting to engage U.S. or U.K. forces in their vicinity would do well to neutralize the platforms of force projection - i.e. carriers and airfields - first.

For point defense I think that's why the demos show the missiles striking the same target from two different directions simultaneously, point defense can't work in all directions at the same time so the more defense you expect your target to have the more missiles you launch. They also make sure the missiles don't enter radar range until the last possible moment.

The same goes for when you DON'T buy the thing.
I think they fire some sort of shot that travels the last few miles.
