I mean, like this post is pretty useless but it's in the off topic part (useless part) so is it still useless?

It's only spam in off topic if the post is totally worthless.

For example, "what's your favorite color" might be frowned upon.

If there are redeeming qualities that at least some significant part of the community might appreciate I think nobody's got anything against it being posted.

Old movie and good book. I think that Lewis Carrol was doing drugs when he wrote that, but oh well.

I really liked the new Alice movie and Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors.
