Wow... I think they named the "magic wand" tool prematurely.

Nice, will be very useful. I wonder if it works as well with high-res images.

It's about time they fixed the horrible flaws in the spot healing tool.

Damn you, I was about to post the same thing.

Photoshop is only 2 years late to the party.

was talking about it to some people, we did some tests, and it doesn't appear to be as magical as photoshop's.

downloaded gimp and the plugin and oh surprise ... it doesn't do that at all, it works correctly for the clouds but fails completely for the ground (on the clouds pict) and failed even more on the desert one ... kthxbye

edit: Result (and don't tell me i failed at using it, i just did what the guy said on his tutorial, and there is only one parameter, i tried many values and does almost the same every time)

The point is that some guy had a working version of this two years ago. It may not have the refinement level of the one produced by a company with millions of dollars of development money (no duh) but it was still there. I bet with a few more interested people in the plugin, they could make it work as well as Photoshop.

The plugin worked for me...after flipping the image vertically first. Not that good, but it's decent. It seems like the plugin uses vertical scanning for the texture it uses.
