Google phone (is now available on AT&T and in Canada)

Does anyone have any experience with this phone? The "Nexus One", I mean.
I'm thinking about buying one, they just released a new model that runs on more standard GSM (AFAIK) frequencies, like the ones used in Canada. Bell, of course, uses their own frequencies that I think are similar to Verizon. I would be subjected to sodomy via unusually well-endowed rabid horses before using anything from Bell, so no problem.
The built-in GPS functionality is what makes all the difference to me, even though I've heard the screen can be difficult/impossible to see in direct sunlight. If I'm going somewhere, it's all I need to take with me.
edit: ah, and now it's available on Sprint as well and coming to Verizon this Spring. What's the point of an "unlocked" phone if you can only use it on one or two networks?
