i don't think D-day itself was a turning point as it was a long push, but maybe the invasion of france or sometimes i hear battle of the bulge as turning point for that particular front, but really russia got to berlin first so.

true, but the same could maybe be said about the battle of Stalingrad.
but well, its just a list of somebody would clicked through wikipedia until he had found 10 "hey, thats cool" battles.
