New version, file size cut in halfe.
I tiled the sand textures but with a larger 256x256 tile, without degrading the look of the map.
12.8mb.

No.
The mesas are just barely accessable to units, and movement is slowed a great deal by this.

You should get yeha's bryce files and rebuild the texture, they're the same ones they used for their map.

Unfortunately I don`t have Bryce, I have been thinking about making a flooded version with a new texture though.

alos this map should be tileable so the filesize should be way less

my favorite OTA map too, lots of fun!
The file size is a bit extreme, but the heights are nearly perfect, the textures looks great.
one way to make rocks: use the terrain to add little bumps with textures that look like rocks?

I agree on the rocks, this port will never be over untill it gets those rocks.
Napalm, All the original TA map textures look ordinary in Spring in one way or another, I don`t believe for a minute that this maps texture looks like "crap",, worth remembering is this is a port of a well played and popular map and people want to see it as close to how it looked and played in TA,, its a retro kind of thing, having said all that I can see where you comming from.
Noize, The start positions should be right where they are in the original, right down to the pixel,, will check it out.
