Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what's the best mixture of good looks and anti-lag for my game settings.

Anyone have some recommendations?

What I think is best (what I use):

Tree View Distance Minimum
Terrain LOD ~40
Unit LOD Max
Grass Detail ~5
Max Particles ~5000 (?)
Max Sounds ~50
Ground Decals max (face it, tracks are cool)

Of the other options I only use fullscreen, colorized heightmap, and reflective water.

If there was a set of settings optimal for every PC they wouldn't be added as an option in the settings ;)

Okay, there is no single optimal graphics setting. I can't disagree with that. I guess instead you can infer from my post which graphics features I think are useful, or useless, or just too good to do without. I'd put shadows too, but they drag my fps down below 10, wheras I usually get ~30

When in multiplayer hopefully everyone cuts back their settings, as to not lag the game.

If everyone had the time to experiment with every little tweak there wouldn't be a need for the working class either.
