How do you do it? Ive seen enough videos of people in finland cycling on compacted ice, and everywheres covered in ice.

This is without wearing socks on the outside or add ons like yaktrax

as long as your going forward its ok, but doing tight turns is impossible and you have to slow down/turn very slowly ~_~

We also have ice roads, but theyre only open for like a few months a year for obvious reasons

Same applies to people as to cars, it's not the speed that is dangerous, it's acceleration/deceleration. And put your body weight a bit forward, because usually when you fall, you fall on your back.

Driving on snow is fun btw.

K=1/2.m.v^2 says speed is dangerous.

No it doesn't. It says the kinetic energy is proportional to the square of the speed.

Something or someone, i read once in a while: Flying through space is like driving a 18 ton vehicle on a road of black ice. So be brave and behave like a rocket.

Why dont you simply use ice skates?
If you are talking about real ice that is and not just slippery footpaths.

For slippery paths you have 2 options:

1) lame mode - impact your whole feet at once and be careful about putting too much forward acceleration too quickly on one leg.

2) fun mode - start sliding as with ice skates for extra speed and fun

But in cities they cover slippery walkways with stuff that prevents you from slipping ruining all fun.
