Map RELEASED !!! Duggans Metal Two ....

I got some new textures from hrmph and I decided to redo
some on the textures of the map and redo the metal map.
I figure it be better to make a new version and call it something
else. So, I decided to rename it the the orginal name. Here is
the screen shot of the new metal layout.

Also, some trees came into the picture and they add to the
map. Now its a wall of trees slowing troops down alittle.

The next 3 screen shots have trees in the back ground and
building.

Also, most of the textures where made by hrmph.

Hopefully someone likes these maps ...

The purple still looks out of place. When there's such concentrated metal spot, I like when they are matching with a subtle texture change. The red glowing geo needs to have a inside a thin metal frame around.

But overall this is the best looking of your duggan metal serie. The textures look much more they really belong to the map, and much less like a random array of textures that don't fit together.

Updated the textures .... replaced the purple texture :(
Also, added a aluminium rim on the Geos ... 8)
Also, replace two others tetures too .... :?

I really like this map! :)
But maybe the texture are a bit little and they repeat a bit :?
Maybe if you'll use more big texture it will better ;)

This is hilarious, because I made all those textures and sent them last night after I got home from the pub when I was quite wasted. I just got up (1:12 pm :)) and starting thinking "I wonder if I ever sent those textures to Gen...." And here I see you've already posted some pics of the modded map! Heheh :) Its looking great I think, more cohesive. I'd still change a few textures (maybe the dark green/light green/paisely) I could make some textures that have the same color but look more mechanical/techie.


By the way I was thinking... Do you first do your maps in annihilator, then tweak them in PSP? If so it might be taking some of the color out, since I think annihilator only works with a 256 color original TA style pallete... I could be wrong though..

I think the geo should keep glowing red, not green. But add a frame around them. Just take one the metal strip that grid them, and put it on the outer limit.

textures. The map wouldn't look as good has it is now without
hrmphs help ...
