I had to upgrate to win 7 but unfurtanely i havent got new drivers yet.
My xp runned spring fine. I think installing new xp on other partition is only remedy. i settled for some time not playing spring but now i get ill and went on almost buying Tamiflu. All help appriecieted.
Oh and my netbook came with a discovery partition i completely removed.(somehow you cant run a xp cd on it because it wont install without the HD drivers wich were on the RECOVERY disk. I read some inplimented a file within a selfmade xp install cd to overcome this.

The "More graphics, less performance" formula applies with any software.
For example if you had a machine with 4GB RAM, a great processor, graphics card etc and you were running it on Vista or Windows 7, it would reduce the potential of the power. Use that system on Windows Classic for example, you'll be going great guns.

Well Spring's dead for me now too. A fresh install doesn't allow me to run TAS Client because of a Unitsync.dll error and I can't run Springlobby because it says I need the latest engine version to be able to play. Both from a fresh install to a new dir of 0.79.1.1.

methinks a "spring purge" utility could be useful to remove all spring related data from your computer (all content, registry entries etc)
certainly it would help the vista users whose OS insists on copying things and plonking the copies in hidden folders.

Yeh, Vista sux, I'll be happy to move to Windows 7 when it's fully supported.
