Spring RTS Engine

Just like back in the OTA days, there was a specific order in which you loaded the original game then the add-ons (OTA, Core Contingency,
Battle Tactics, etc).

There were also direct links on the same site for maps, mods, etc. What happened to that straightforward way of finding what you needed?

I guess I'm computer stupid, but it seems like I have to hunt for everything on different pages.

Also, it might be important to know the "order" in which files are to be loaded. Then theres setting up the LAN because I don't want to play in the main lobby, but on my home wireless LAN.

I almost got it working yesterday, then I suddenly found myself in the main lobby again, even after entering my IP as a replacement for the main lobby.

Install spring.

You're actually playing lan games, right? No reason to have a server for single player for a long while.

(Also the order of spring and lobby server doesn't matter.)

Trying to play LAN game over home wireless network one computer to another... and I believe I've got that part right if my kid would sit still long enough to test this...

Haven't tried to set up "single player"- would like to can you help with suggestions on setup?

I can get to the single player battleroom but no mods or maps show up in the drop down box, even though I have ca and Gundam downloaded to spring directory folders. I only have one or two maps downloaded as well.

What am I doing wrong?

I can imagine two things:

are the maps /mods in the /maps /mods folders?

you may have to reload maps and mods in the lobby once.
