unitsync.dll error after update to 0.78.1 or 0.78.2

Post by Raikill »

Hello,

since i updatet to version 0.78.1 and/or 0.78.2 Spring won't run.

After the update, Spring will not load my settings:

1> Failed to load shared library "C:Spiele\Spring\unitsync.dll" (error -1073741795: unknown error c000001d)

2> Error: Could not access your settings.

3> Then the window with the path settings will appear, but path and everything is correct.....

4> TASClient won't work too. error in program, programm could not be initialized (0xc000001d)

I haven't problems with older Spring versions on my PC.
I run Spring with Windows 2000 on a 700Mhz PC.

hope anyone with similar problems can help me.

0xc000001d is illegal instruction. does your CPU support SSE? did you try reinstalling into a new directory?

hi,

what you mean with SSE?

I have reinstalled Spring a several times,
but that has no effect. I changed the directories too and cleaned up the regestry

all older versions run without any problems on that PC. Only with one constriction:

When i now reinstall an older version i.e. 0.75 then i can't sync
with other players (they have 0.75 too) I tried to install otacontent, but that won't fix the problem too...

You need a SSE capable processor to play spring. All newer CPU's have that, Intel ones since Pentium III, AMD since Athlon XP.

SSE are implemented since Duron-Morgan core.
If you arent sure about SSE support. Use this info application (Win32) http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_149.zip. CPUz will determinate if your Duron supports SSE instructions.

Same here - after upgrade getting frequent unitsync initialization crashes.

For example if downloader is already running and then i start tasclient it crashes and fails to start 80% of time.

And many vista users report that springdownloader stopped working for them at all - cannot initialize unitsync.
