Spring RTS Engine

Sorry, I posted in the wrong forum.

If spring is not in full screen mode and I click anywhere on the map, it crashes with this error :"Could not allocate font texture" in a message box.
The problem is that spring often leaves fullscreen mode by itself, during game.

Using spring v0.77b5 under Ubuntu 8.04.

this should be fixed in the next version.

If you have a compile environment you can grab that revision and it won't desync. If not, it shouldn't be a long wait. Anyone on windows can use http://planetspring.free.fr/spring/exec ... _R6848.zip

Leaving fullscreen mode is a very odd issue.

I have exactly the same problem : Spring leaves full screen after like 10min in game, the window starts flickering a bit and as soon I try to maximize it again, I get "fatal error: Could not allocate font texture" and then goes back to the lobby.

My config : Ubuntu 8.10, with Compiz Fusion
Laptop dell inspiron 9400, centrino CPU, ATI mobility graphics
Spring works well if I boot on windows, but not with Ubuntu

Any idea on how to fix it or what the problem can be?

Dont resize or attempt to move your window much.

Infortunately, this happens without attempting to resize or move the window...

maximize is resize for all intents and purposes. don't know how to solve it in ubuntu without compiling yourself; you should be using revision 6847, it fixes some resize crashes.

Hi, I solved the problem on my computer ;
Compiz Fusion was the problem, I downloaded Compizbutton to turn it off before I start a game, and no more crashes !!!!
