Java bug? I need help!

Hi gang, I just managed to get a multiplayer LAN game working between two computers via direct cable by running the TAServer.jar (since we're both using Linux) and manipulating the configuration file for Spring Lobby to read that the host server be the I.P. address of the hosting computer in our network. It worked!! Quite mouthwatering really.
The problem lies with the third computer that we wish to hook up. Even though we're using a router, the third computer (an ACER computer, by the way, but using the same O.S.) is refusing to log in to the host. For him, Spring Lobby attempts to connect, then disconnects with the error message "CPU field shoud be an integer" upon the chat screen.
What's wrong here? According to him, he installed the necessary JAVA apps correctly but I'm beginning to have my doubts. Then again, TAServer.jar seemed to work fine on his computer; it even detected our attempts to log into his computer when we made his com the host (through the manipulation of the configuration file as well). Yet when we try to login to him, we get nada, zippo.
Help please! We've been hard at work to get a LAN game running on Linux.
