Spring RTS Engine

Happens to me 100% of time in all mods with fresh install and no other programs running.

Doesnt happen if i just press said combination of keys without queueing buildings.

Freeze is 0% CPU - spring just stops.

Exact conditions are:

- select structure to be built (normal "ghost" structure appears on mouse coordinates)

- press alt + shift

- release either alt or shift -> freeze happens


If I change anything in this scenario there is no freeze. For example if i dont select structure for construction or if press another key combination.

Any ideas?

suggestions:
1) try the experimental 76b2 build (links in the dev forum) and see if the problem persists
2) get a newer sdl.dll

no more ideas, doesn't happen here.

It started after I upgraded to new, many times faster PC

I found the cause - alt+shift is shortcut used to change keyboard layout.
If I remove english keyboard and use just my native without switching enabled freeze doesnt happen.

But I had multiple keyboards enabled in the past (before 76b1 though) with no issues so it has to be relatively new incompatibility problem.

I don't think this is something that spring can fix :/ Good to know you found a workaround.

Must be your end, doesn't freeze for me and switches the keyboard layout properly (tested on an older SVN build). You could remap the combination.
