Hello all,

how do you restrict spring to run on one core in linux? because after 10 minuets of playing spring suddenly gets really slow (<1 fps) even when I'm far away from any rendered units.

Spring is a single threaded application, so it only uses one core by default.

Is something else competing for CPU? You should give details about your system and OS setup.

I think it is a bug in Spring, because in the middle of the game with 3 AIs having HD3850 i zoomed camera to near floor & framerate did not changed at all rating at ~43 FPS!

try to increase your swap? (spring eats your ram)

that would hard, because id have to resize a partition. Iv got 2GB of ram and 1GB of swap. ill try monitoring my ram while playing a spring game and then report back.
